Jonathan Leidy has been a financial planner and business development officer for 14 years.  As a founding principal of Portico Wealth Advisors, his primary responsibilities include financial plan creation and oversight of new client acquisition.  A Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Mr. Leidy is an expert at helping clients to achieve long-term financial success.

Previously, Jonathan was the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Salient Wealth Management.  During his 3-year tenure, he created and chaired the 5-person Financial Planning Committee, a body dedicated to providing clients with best-of-breed financial planning. He also shepherded all marketing, PR, and business development efforts, leading to a doubling of the firm’s assets under management to $475MM.

While at Salient, Jonathan also created and led the firm’s Retirement Plan Consultancy Division.  He was instrumental in developing a fiduciary oversight and investment management platform specifically geared to meet the needs of small to mid-sized plan sponsors.  Jonathan worked with a wide variety of industries throughout the greater Bay Area, including several non-profit entities.

Jonathan began his career with Charles Schwab and Co. where he spent 6 years as a relationship manager.  He was responsible for the accounts of approximately 400 families, representing over $250MM in client assets.  His primary responsibilities included providing portfolio-level advice and acting as his clients’ primary point of contact.

Jonathan, a Marin native, is a CFA® charterholder and a CFP® certificant.  He graduated with honors from UC Davis with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a minor in Mathematics.  He is a former FINRA Series 7 holder and California State Insurance licensee.  He lives in Larkspur with his wife, Erin, and is an honorary board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay.  He is also a founding member of 100 People Who Care: Marin County and volunteers periodically with Hospice by the Bay, the Marin Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend (YMUW).
